This verse is purely meant to inspire encouragement, which is something we could DEFINITELY use after last year's misery. For a lot of us, if 2020 was not the worst year of our life, it was easily a close second. And with all of the pain and suffering the year brought, it became easy for us to focus on ourselves and try and make our own situations better. But this verse tells us that we need to remember our Christian family, because they might be suffering just as much as we are, perhaps even more so. We consider them, we encourage them, to stir up love and good works. And if they truly are your Christian brother or sister, they should be doing the same to you. The church is a family, and Hebrews 10:24 tells us why this is the case. And because of this fact, we can all make each other better people through encouragement.
